Welcome to Golden Wags!

Thank you for visiting our site. Our mission is to equip your elderly or injured dog with the most supportive and high quality gear possible. We have spoken with various veterinarians and dog owners to find out what the largest needs are in this population as well as which products are in highest demand.

My story began with Rocky, a 9-year-old boxer I had from high school through the early years of marriage and for the birth of my first child. We were devastated when we came home one day and he couldn’t get up off the floor. A veterinarian at Tuft’s in Grafton, MA diagnosed him with a brain tumor – the largest they had ever seen with their CAT scan to date. Keeping him comfortable was our primary concern especially once it was evident that he wouldn’t live long.

Fast forward 22 years and I am at Angell Memorial Medical Center in Boston with our 9-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback who was walking with a limp. He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and ultimately lived for 4 months after a leg amputation. Similarly, our primary concern was to keep him comfortable and happy until the day he would have to be put to rest.

Watching your dog suffer is never easy but Golden Wags wants to support you and your dog in your journey, no matter where it may take you.
