Our male dog is a basset/border collie mix(rescue). We measured per your instructions. 22" abdomen and 13" leg which is a medium. He only needs help going up and down stairs due to hip injury.. Otherwise he gets around fine. He weighs 41 pounds with typical short basset legs. Do you agree medium is the best. 15" harness looks OK
